The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities will be holding its 141st annual meeting on June 26thru June 29th in Hartford, Connecticut. The theme for the conference is “Promoting Health and Wellness.”

Call for Papers- American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences (AABSS)

The American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences (AABSS) will be holding its 20th annual conference in Las Vegas, NV. January 30-31, 2017. Deadline for proposal submission is November 19, 2016 All presented papers are eligible for submission to the Journal of Behavioral and Social Sciences. (JBSS) For further information, click the following:

Submit a proposal that includes a title, an abstract of not more than 150 words, and a summary that does not exceed more than 600 words.  If the proposal is accepted for presentation, then the title and abstract will be included in the conference program.

All presented papers are eligible for submission to the Journal of Behavioral and Social Sciences (JBSS), and all submitted papers will be peer-reviewed for potential publication.

 

The Southwest Conference on Disability

The Conference will be held between October 5 and October 7, 2016.

Entitled, “Reducing Disparities  for People with Disabilities Through System Change”, the conference will include sessions on inclusion, peer mentoring and smoking cessation for people with developmental disabilities.

A one day pre-summit workshop for lawyers will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 which is led by the Autism Speaks Legal Resource Center.

On October 7th, there will be a joint programming with sessions on autism from both Autism Speaks and the Southwest Conference. The session begins at 8:30am.

Call for Papers

We invite submissions for potential presentation at this year’s AABSS conference from a broad range of topics related to the social and behavioral sciences.  Strands may include empirical or theoretical scholarship as well as research methodology evaluation, meta-analyses, critical literature reviews, and topics related to applied practice that are grounded in scholarship.  Where possible, topics will be grouped together for presentation within similar tracks.

Registration is currently open for the AUCD Conference! We welcome network members, non-network organizational partners, experts from all across the disability field, individuals with disabilities, family members, and fellows to learn and grow together during this exciting event. Whether you’re a newcomer to the field or a seasoned professional, the AUCD Conference provides countless opportunities to share with and learn from colleagues and peers. AUCD2015 will feature three fantastic plenaries from high-level leaders, over 225 concurrent and poster presentations covering a broad spectrum of disability topics as well as innovative research, programming, and advocacy efforts.

Registration is currently open for the AUCD Conference and the following affiliated events:
